Database Administrator – PostgreSQL / Python

Location: Brussels, Belgium
Start Date: September 1, 2026
Duration: Until end of 2026, extendable
Work Regime: Full-time | Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in PostgreSQL to manage, secure and optimize critical database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including backup/recovery, monitoring and performance tuning.
• 
  Design database structures and data synchronization mechanisms.
• 
  Develop Python backend applications and REST APIs integrated with PostgreSQL.
• 
  Set up and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• 
  Support database solutions within microservices environments.
• 
  Contribute to monitoring and logging using the Elastic Stack

Key Skills:

• 
  Expert-level PostgreSQL database administration
• 
  Python backend development and REST APIs
• 
  Linux server administration
• 
  GitLab CI/CD
• 
  Elastic Stack
• 
  Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and Ansible are advantageous
• 
  Knowledge of NoSQL, Key-Value, Document and Vector databases is a plus
• 
  Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
• 
  Dutch, English and French knowledge
