Candidates presently based in Cairo(Egypt) are considered and preferred.

DBA (or Database administrators) is responsible for implementation and maintenance of Database server (or servers). DBA also responsible to keep the integrity and security of databases and database servers. DBAs own the database servers and responsible to keep them intact at any circumstances, as well as in troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the Users/Developers.

• Troubleshoot, Monitor all environments databases.
• Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
• Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases.
• Provide Level III support to support team members to minimize user/system downtime.
• Facilitating the creation of a replicated architecture, providing database tuning and monitoring database security, performance, and utilization.
• Proficient in SQL Server 2014-2019 (expert)
• React to High Severity issues technical situation that requires immediate attention.
• Ensure data assets are available for use by applications and business clients, recoverable in the event of system failures, and secure from a possible breach. Supports a heterogeneous environment
• Periodic database server health checks for backups, jobs, mirroring, replication, etc.
• Monitor and profile production database servers for load and performance bottlenecks.
• Query optimization and performance tuning
• Assist application developers with database schema and procedure changes according to best practices
• Analysis and approval of database schema and procedure changes from the sandbox to development, QA, and production environments
• Support internal teams by creating and implementing customized automated solutions to drive data quality and completeness.
• Think outside the box and approach infrastructure with modern techniques that are agile and scalable
• Further refining the physical design to meet system storage requirement
• Data remains consistent across the database and clearly defined
• Upgrade/patching of the databases.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 5 years +
• Hands on experience on Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, Replication and Always-on in all SQL versions.
• Hands on experience on SQL server hosted in windows clustering platform Experience and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
• Migration of MS SQL server to MS Azure cloud.
• Experience working with MS SQL Cluster, Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Knowledge of Azure Data warehouse or any other Data warehouse.
• Must have hands on experience with setup MS servers and Power BI Dashboards.
• Experience in Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge in TSQL.
