Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and tune large scale distributed OceanBase for high performance and scalability.
  • Manage tenant/cluster resources (computing resources relocation and provisioning) in distributed OceanBase environments.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve large–scale distributed DB issues using SRE/DB alert systems.
  • Participate in on–call rotation to handle emergency DB incidents and provide timely resolutions.
  • Review DB–related requests (data security, SQL impact on production) to prevent potential risks.
  • Follow company policies and development processes for database operations. Ensure data security, auditing, encryption, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Technical Requirements

  • Deep expertise in OceanBase, MySQL, and Oracle to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our large–scale distributed database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem–solving skills.
  • Expert–level knowledge of database internals (ACID, storage engine, SQL engine, HA/DR, security), strong distributed OceanBase administration skills (OCP, obproxy, tenant/cluster management), and the ability to collaborate across teams to optimize database operations.
