The role - Database AdministratorAs a Database Administrator, you will ensure the availability, performance and reliability of our database and IT service environments and contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of our IT service delivery landscape. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Administer, maintain, and optimize database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)Work closely with infrastructure, application, and development teams to ensure end-to-end service qualityParticipate in monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning activities using enterprise tools (e.g., Splunk)Contribute to automation, operational excellence, and cloud transformation initiativesSupport incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive monitoring of critical servicesAssist with not only database-related topics but also broader infrastructure and service operations activities.

Your profileBSc or MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldAt least two years of professional experience in Database Administration Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with Linux/Windows environments and basic networking conceptsInterest in expanding beyond pure DBA work into broader IT Service Delivery and Infrastructure topicsExposure to Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plusKnowledge of ITIL practices and monitoring tools (Splunk or similar) is an advantageFluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese.
