We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA & Developer to design, create, configure, administer, maintain, and optimise Oracle database environments across development, testing, and production systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of business-critical databases while supporting ongoing product development and customer deployments.
The role requires strong expertise in both Oracle Database Administration and Oracle PL/SQL Development, including the design, development, and maintenance of database objects such as SQL scripts, packages, procedures, functions, views, and triggers. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting complex application and database issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing fixes, supporting release deployments, and driving database performance improvements.
The successful candidate will work closely with Development, QA, Support, Infrastructure, and Product Management teams to ensure robust database solutions, efficient release management, and high-quality application delivery. Experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, database migrations, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and production support is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Oracle Database Administration
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle database environments.
Create and configure new databases for development, testing, and production environments.
Monitor database health, performance, storage, and availability.
Manage database security, users, roles, and permissions.
Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
Ensure database environments comply with security and operational standards.
Support database migrations, upgrades, and environment refresh activities.
Investigate and resolve database-related incidents and production issues.
Oracle Database Development
Design, develop, maintain, and optimise:
SQL Scripts
PL/SQL Packages
Stored Procedures
Functions
Views
Triggers
Database Jobs
Write efficient and scalable SQL queries.
Perform query analysis and optimisation to improve application performance.
Review existing database designs and recommend improvements.
Create deployment scripts and support release activities.
Ensure database code follows development standards and best practices.
Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN.
Oracle Data Pump (Import/Export)
Technical Skills
Strong Oracle Database Administration experience (Oracle 12c/19c or higher).
Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
Expert knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, Indexes, and Materialized Views.
Database performance tuning and optimisation.
Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN.
Oracle Data Pump (Import/Export).
Query execution plan analysis and SQL optimisation.
Experience with database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
Hands-on experience installing and configuring Oracle Grid Infrastructure and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) across multi-node environments.
Strong knowledge of Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management), including creation and administration of ASM disk groups, storage management, and cluster maintenance.
Experience administering highly available Oracle RAC environments, including node addition/removal, cluster verification, failover testing, and performance monitoring.
Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
Knowledge of source control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Experience creating deployment and rollback scripts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
Oracle Certification (preferred).
