We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support the development, implementation, maintenance, security, and performance of enterprise database and data warehouse environments. This role will work closely with technical and business teams to ensure data integrity, availability, performance, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise databases, data warehousing, data modeling, ETL, reporting tools, SQL, database security, and performance tuning.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in database administration, database management, data warehousing, systems analysis with strong SQL and database development experience Strong knowledge of database management systems, data warehouses, data marts, decision support tools Experience developing and maintaining data warehouses and data marts Experience with data modeling techniques, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and normalized data models Experience with enterprise databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server Experience with GUI-based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage Experience with reporting and analytical tools such as Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy Experience with data warehouse implementation, including requirements gathering, logical and physical modeling, data sourcing, transformation, loading, and end-user tools Experience building data dictionaries and maintaining consistent data definitions Experience with database performance monitoring, benchmarking, tuning, security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery Knowledge of database structures, systems design, programming concepts, and current database technologies Working knowledge of accessibility standards and assistive technologies Oracle Database and Power BI experience preferred
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise databases and data warehouse environments Create and modify database programs, scripts, procedures, and SQL queries Translate business and technical requirements into effective database solutions Monitor database performance, resource utilization, availability, and processing efficiency Perform performance tuning and recommend improvements Develop logical and physical data models and relational database designs Evaluate and implement requests for new data elements and systems while maintaining data integrity and minimizing redundancy Load, reorganize, and maintain databases as needed Maintain data dictionaries, database standards, and technical documentation Implement database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures Create and maintain test database environments Support database software installation, configuration, and implementation Provide technical assistance to users requesting data or information Support database benchmarking, threshold testing, and capacity planning Ensure database administration and reporting interfaces meet applicable accessibility standards Collaborate effectively with database, application, reporting, infrastructure, and business teams Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures Stay current with database technologies, data warehousing practices, security standards, and industry best practices
