The Data Visualization & Presentation Manager is a strategic translator for the design and development of impactful presentations and visual communications that effectively translate complex data, technical analysis and business insights into compelling visual presentations that are clear and actionable. This role ensures that information is not only accurate, but presented in a way that highlights key findings, explains implications and supports informed decision-making.

Collaborating closely with internal teams, business units, and external subject matter experts, this position supports major corporate initiatives and helps communicate strategic decision-making effectively to stakeholders across the organization. The position is part of the Corporate Communications and Marketing team and plays a critical role in advancing CPS Energy’s mission of safely powering our community with reliable, affordable, and cleaner energy. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead data storytelling standards across the organization.
  • Own PowerPoint templates and governance, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand and accessibility standards.
  • Create high-impact executive and customer presentations that clearly communicate complex information.
  • Train teams on best practices to align with CPS Energy’s brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Act as an internal consultant and maintain data integrity, ensuring accuracy in all visual representations.
  • Develop and design initiative-related deliverables such as FAQs, surveys, flyers, and presentation assets that clearly communicate key information and insights for internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing insights through data-driven visualizations and presentations.
  • Partner with analytics, marketing, and operations teams to integrate data insights into actionable visual narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline communication processes and improve efficiency in presentation and visualization workflows.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives, providing recommendations to optimize stakeholder engagement.
  • Recommend and implement emerging tools, technologies, and best practices for data visualization and executive communication.
  • Attend company events or engagement opportunities, as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical proficiency, design acumen, storytelling ability, and analytical thinking in communications for a variety of channels and audiences in a corporate environment, large public entity, utility, or communications agency.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint , Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong ability to translate technical or operational data into clear, compelling visual stories for executives and stakeholders.
  • Experience working on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that influence organizational strategy.

Minimum Education


Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, digital media, graphic design or related field from an accredited college or university OR extensive professional experience in a related field may be substituted for formal education.

Required Certifications

Working Environment


Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.
