
About the Role
The primary purpose of the Data Uniformity Specialist II (Coding/Operations) position is to review, research and resolve problems and errors concerning inpatient and outpatient coding operations, be the coding software “subject matterexpert,” facilitate and track payor coding audits/adjustments and compile productivity and quality data for HIM coding and operations. This is done to support, maintain and improve the efficiency, continuity, and quality of all HIM operations.
What You’ll Do
Carefully review and appropriately redact requests for the release of sensitive health information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies. This includes data related to HIV/AIDS status, mental health diagnoses and treatment, substance use history, and alcohol-related medical information.
Examine and process subpoena requests that involve protected health information, particularly those concerning HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use, and alcohol-related records. Ensure that all legal and confidentiality requirements are met before any information is disclosed.
Conduct thorough chart reviews to identify inconsistencies, omissions, or discrepancies in patient records. Work to resolve these issues to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the health information system.
Support overall patient safety through accurate data management

The expected salary range for this position is ($66,943.00 - $95,892.00) per year, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
