We are looking for a skilled Data Transformation Engineer to join our partner's team in the banking sector, contributing to data transformation, processing, and analytics initiatives. In this role, you will work with complex banking data, develop and optimize data transformation workflows, and ensure data quality and consistency to support business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience in data analytics, and hands-on knowledge of Databricks. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to transform raw data into reliable, structured datasets that meet business and analytical requirements.
Develop, maintain, and optimize data transformation processes using SQL and Databricks.
Extract, transform, and prepare data from multiple sources to support reporting and analytical needs.
Design and implement efficient data processing workflows, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Analyze complex datasets to identify data patterns, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective transformation solutions.

Proven professional experience as a Data Transformation Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a similar data-focused role.
Strong knowledge of SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
Hands-on experience with Databricks and its application in data processing and transformation.
Experience working with data analytics, data preparation, and transformation workflows.
Understanding of data quality, data validation, and data integrity principles.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Familiarity with banking data, financial services, or banking-related business processes.
