MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Technician to join our Air Force/Army team at Eglin AFB. This is an onsite position.

The Data Technician's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data collection (to include real-time, post, and truth data), data pre-processing (cutting data), data reduction, data archiving, and meeting data deliverables.
  • Troubleshooting missing data and malfunctioning network systems
  • Responsible for aircraft media inventory, media formatting and ensuring media availability for flight operations.
  • Ingest, catalog, and perform validation of flight data.
  • Set up and perform Aircrew Mission Debriefs with Pilots, Intel, and Analysts
  • Write customized procedures and user guidance to support specific Data Tech tasks.
  • Perform setup and teardown of essential systems for deployment/temporary duty; perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 2+ years direct/related experience
  • Understanding of general aviation procedures and regulations.
  • Understanding of Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) regulations an operating procedure.
  • Ability to organize and compile data as needed.
  • Background in Avionics preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility).
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.”
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
