This position's office location will be the Papillon, NE (Papillion Foods) production plant and will support the Papillion Foods Plant and other Hormel production facilities within the Central US region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position works on the Plant IT team with a focus on hardware and software solutions used in our production warehouse and manufacturing facilities at an enterprise scale. The role requires providing support to existing regional Plant IT contacts, maintaining existing Plant IT hardware solutions, discovering new technologies, improving existing technologies, and keeping our plant hardware and data systems secure. This role will require working some evenings and weekends, along with travel as necessary.

  1. Supports hardware and software of the plant floor applications including Shop Floor Data Collection and WMS.
  2. Serves as "Project Manager" for plant IT projects at Papillion Foods and other Hormel production facilities within the Central region.
  3. Administers and maintains business critical enterprise infrastructure environment(s) and services used within the production and warehouse settings specific to Plant IT
  4. Monitors utilization and performance of plant computer equipment.
  5. Provides asset management of all plant computers equipment, printers, mobile devices, scanners, and bar-code printers.
  6. Improves technical competence of plant personnel.
  7. Mentors other Plant IT team members.
  8. Provides support through a team-based on-call rotation
  9. Travel to plant locations for support approximately up to 25%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Strong working knowledge of operation facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Plant IT hardware and software.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Android operating systems.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven strong prioritizing skills.
  • Proven results driven and goal-oriented performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and follow-through.
  • Strong history of versatile work patterns.
  • Regularly lifts 20-30 lbs. and may, on occasion, be required to lift to 50 lbs. Any lifting over 50 lbs. will be done with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a production and mechanical shop environment. This may include some extended periods of time on your feet, as well as extended periods of time in temperatures ranging anywhere from 20 - 90°F.

Preferred

  • Successful experience in a Plant IT role.
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT related field.
  • Understanding of other IT technologies: networking, wireless, firewalls, and servers.
  • Working knowledge with service desk tickets and requests.
  • Working knowledge of Exacqvision video surveillance.
  • Working knowledge of Premiys enterprise access control.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and responsibility for multiple locations or projects at once.

LOCATION: Papillion Foods, Papillion NE

A comprehensive relocation package to the Papillion, NE area will be offered, if required.

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Data System Support Analyst role is between $70,900 - $99,275 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
