Job Description


As a Data Strategy Lead at Bold Charter School, you will be part of a mission-driven and outcomes-oriented organization focused on building world-class schools. You will join a team guided by the belief that building world-class schools depends on delivering operational excellence and lead the development of systems and tools that drive progress to goals across the organization. You will receive regular coaching and become a transformative leader within the organization as we grow and expand our impact.

To help us achieve our vision, we are searching for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of data management and strategic leadership experience. An MBA or graduate degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. Ideal candidates will have a creative and solutions-oriented mindset, experience designing systems and infrastructure, and a foundational belief that every child deserves a world-class education.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and develop systems that support data-driven decision-making across all aspects of the organization
  • Develop and maintain performance monitoring dashboards to drive consistent growth in professional practice, student achievement, and impact
  • Execute processes that foster a transparent and communicative culture across the organization
  • Develop systems and structures to ensure all data is accurate and complete across systems; manage annual and ongoing data reporting
  • Manage assessments, including logistics, testing security, training and support
  • Strategically manage priorities, communicating regularly and effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrating a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Contribute to a school environment that is joyful, engaging, and rigorous, and in which students love learning
  • Model Bold’s core values and building a positive student and team culture across our schools
  • Demonstrate a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excel

Successful candidates should:

  • Have technical expertise, including a background in data technologies and analytics
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to develop clear and impactful communications for presentation to stakeholders across the organization
  • Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and possess an excellence reflex that constantly raises the bar
  • Be a person of high moral character with well-developed emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrate an ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically, with exceptional follow-through skills
  • Have a keen eye for detail and proven experience developing systems and evaluating progress
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of Bold, and to going above and beyond the requirements of the job
  • Have the ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where responsibility for student success is shared and owned by everyone
  • Hold a commitment to solutions-based problem solving and previous experience of such
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadership; MBA or graduate degree in a related field preferred

Start Date
The start date for this position is flexible.

Compensation
Bold Charter School offers highly competitive compensation, in the top 3% of comparable positions across New York City charter schools. The salary range for this position is $110,000-$125,000 annually and includes a full benefits package.
