Drives data quality and adherence to data governance requirements on a day-to-day basis. Incorporates processes, policies, and guidelines for administering OML’s data in compliance with policy and/or regulatory obligations, ensuring high data quality

Key responsibilities will include amongst others the following:

Data Architecture

  • Implement and evolve robust and effectively aligned architecture solutions that operate in the business ecosystem.

Database Quality Specifications

  • Implement data quality specifications, ensuring all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved.

Business Requirements Identification

  • Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.

Data Management

  • Implement key aspects of the data management framework. This includes being responsible for implementing or operating key elements of the framework.

Information Security

  • Play a support role in detecting and analyzing security incidents, including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities, and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.

Documentation

  • Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard.

Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"

  • Document "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.

Operational Compliance

  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
  • Identify patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.

Personal Capability Building

  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar fields like Information Systems, Big Data, etc would be advantageous.
  • Diploma in business analysis would be preferable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Data role.
  • Related Technical certifications (DAMA-DMBOK).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment in an Agile framework.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skill.
