What you’ll do

Strengthen Isabel’s AI-native data team by combining BI development with functional business and data-domain expertise.

An important objective is to go beyond delivering static reports and dashboards. This person will enable business users to interact directly and intuitively with data, using self-service BI, AI-powered solutions, and potentially conversational data experiences. This should make trusted data and insights more accessible while maintaining appropriate governance and quality.

Main tasks

• Develop a strong functional understanding of Isabel’s business and data domains.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify reporting, analytical, and operational needs.
• Translate these needs into dashboards, insights, data products, and operational solutions.
• Enable business users to explore, question, and interact with data through self-service and AI-powered capabilities.
• Create intuitive and governed data experiences that reduce dependency on the data team for recurring questions.
• Develop solutions using Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and related technologies.
• Work closely with data engineers and business and technical stakeholders.
• Apply an AI-native approach to analysis, development, testing, documentation, and delivery.
• Proactively identify relevant insights, data-quality issues, and opportunities for business or process improvement.
• Help improve data literacy and encourage effective use of data across the organisation.

Requirements

• A hybrid functional and technical BI/data professional.
• Strong stakeholder-management and requirements-analysis skills.
• Able to understand complex business processes and data domains.
• Hands-on knowledge of Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and modern data platforms.
• Fluent in AI-assisted development and capable of creating AI-enabled ways for users to access and interact with data.
• Able to make complex data understandable and accessible to non-technical users.
• Proactive, curious, collaborative, and focused on delivering business value.
