Drive data quality, governance and enterprise reporting across RACV

At RACV, data plays a critical role in helping us deliver better experiences for our members, customers and employees. We're looking for a Data Specialist to join our Data Services team, supporting the systems, processes and products that underpin our enterprise data capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong data professional who enjoys solving complex data challenges, improving data quality and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation.

About the Opportunity

As a Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the operational management, administration and continuous improvement of RACV's key Data Services platforms, including Data Governance (Collibra), Data Quality (Experian Aperture Data Studio) and Enterprise Reporting (Tableau).

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data products and services are reliable, secure, accessible and fit for purpose. Working closely with Data Governance, Technology, Data Stewards and business stakeholders, you'll help drive improvements in data quality, governance and reporting while supporting the delivery of critical business insights.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop and implement new capabilities across Data Services platforms.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Execute testing, deployment and ongoing enhancement of data solutions.
  • Support upgrades, integrations and platform improvements while ensuring sustainable design practices.
  • Design, build and maintain data quality products, reports and monitoring processes.
  • Support the implementation of data governance standards, data definitions, lineage and business rules.
  • Develop reporting and insights across key data quality dimensions.
  • Administer enterprise data platforms including user access, licensing and security controls.
  • Monitor data pipelines, integrations, batch processes and platform health.
  • Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Support business continuity testing, data refreshes and planned releases.
  • Develop, deliver and continuously improve enterprise reporting and stakeholder insights.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide training, guidance and support on data platforms and products.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with complex datasets and technology systems.
  • Experience designing, developing, maintaining and enhancing data or technology solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in data quality management, reporting or related disciplines.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
  • Experience supporting data quality, reporting or data governance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of database administration, ETL processes and data architecture principles.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with structured, semi-structured and non-relational data.
  • Experience with Salesforce environments (desirable)
  • Experience with Collibra and/or Experian Aperture Data Studio (desirable)
  • Experience with Tableau reporting (desirable)
  • Database administration experience across SQL Server, Oracle or DB2 environments (desirable)
