The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a dynamic, independent, self-starter to serve as a data specialist, assisting with phases of data analysis and dissemination. This position assists in the collection and compilation of a variety of eligibility information regarding IES outcomes; assists in the compilation, analysis, evaluation and reporting of eligibility processing data for compliance to State and Federal guidelines; applies advanced statistical techniques to generate data for internal reports; assists in development of research designs in accordance with established guidelines and monitors status of Print and Mail room.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as a data specialist, assisting with phases of data analysis and dissemination.
  • Provides assistance in the compilation, analysis, evaluation, and reporting of eligibility processing data for compliance to State and Federal guidelines.
  • Provides assistance with the collection and compilation of a variety of eligibility information regarding Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) outcomes.
  • Provides assistance in applying standard statistical techniques to generate data for internal reports and monitors Print and Mail room status.
  • Conducts advanced statistical analysis on programmatic, social, and economic data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in statistics, computer science, mathematics, economics and related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of professional experience applying advanced statistical and research methods and techniques in the collection, summarization, manipulation, and analysis of computer data.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience collecting and compiling data from computerized files, verifying accuracy, conducting advanced statistical analysis, and reporting patterns of inconsistencies.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience reviewing and analyzing existing reports for accuracy of data, trends, and projections.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience generating data reports that include standard statistical methods and techniques for collection, analysis development, and reporting purposes.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires the ability to work overtime and/or outside of regular business hours.
