Job Title:Data Services Team Leader

Location: Warton or Samlesbury. Hybrid - 3 days per week on site.

Salary: £59,491+ DOE

You will manage a team of technical developers and data engineers, driving the delivery of key projects while overseeing business-as-usual activities and leading continuous improvement initiatives This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how data is leveraged across the organisation.

Core duties:

  • Managing a Team of technical developers, providing line management duties
  • Conducting regular 1-2-1s in the team
  • Completing PDRs, Development plans and goals for the team
  • Working closely with Architecture, PMs, BAs, testers and SCRUM Masters to ensure the delivery of products and services to our customers
  • Running Team Meetings and setting workload priorities
  • Working within Attlassian toolset to manage work queue of the team
  • Engagement with customers of the delivery schedule and progress of developments
  • Working with team to resolve incidents and changes

Essential Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of SQL Server
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for data integration and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
