PGC (Professionally Generated Content) is one of TikTok's key business directions. It satisfies users' differentiated consumption demands by providing professional content. The PGC business is divided into several core modules, including creator growth strategies, posts and content management tools, content distribution strategies, creator monetization strategies and OGC verticals.
The primary role of a Data Scientist for our Data team is to conduct deep analysis of user behavior, product features and content ecosystem to generate business insights that could be applied to actionable improving initiatives. You will work closely with cross-function teams, such as Product Management, Research and Development, Machine Learning Engineering, to improve user experience and fulfill the growth of TikTok in all different regions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end data analysis across content and product for the relevant business, uncover supply/demand dynamics, user behaviors and the creator ecosystem, identify growth opportunities, and drive business impact.
- Design and build the core metrics framework and data systems to improve data-driven decision efficiency.
- Partner with Product/Operations/Algorithm/Engineering to improve recommendation and distribution efficiency, optimize user experience, and drive strategy execution.
- Design and analyze A/B tests, and causal inference; evaluate product features, strategies, and trends operations; perform core metric anomaly analysis and root-cause diagnosis.
- Validate hypotheses and identify product growth opportunities through analyses, experiments, or other scientific methods, and influence directions for improvement.
