About the Team

The primary role of a Data Scientist on the Governance team is to conduct deep analysis of user behavior and content ecosystems to drive the TikTok LIVE community develop healthy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product Managers, Operations, and R&D, to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and cultivate a healthy, safe, and trustworthy LIVE ecosystem.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do

1. Conduct deep-dive data analysis in LIVE Governance domains, including content health identification, strategy design and analysis, and creator experience.

2. Design and establish a comprehensive metrics framework to quantify ecosystem healthiness and safety risks. Keep track of core governance metrics and conduct root cause analysis for metric anomalies.

3. Conduct scientific evaluation using statistical methods, including A/B testing and causal inference, to measure the actual impact of policies and strategy interventions.

4. Proactively identify ecosystem anomalies, patterns, and malicious behaviors through exploratory data analytics. Formulate data-driven governance strategies and work with PM/Operation to implement robust countermeasures.

5. Research advanced data science methodologies (e.g., anomaly detection, network analysis) to continuously improve risk identification efficiency and build scalable analytical tools.
