US Conec is seeking a Data Analyst I to support data-driven decision-making across research, engineering, and operational teams. In this role, you will collect, analyze, and visualize data to uncover insights that improve business performance, product development, and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to ensure data accuracy, develop reporting solutions, and transform complex information into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze metrology, manufacturing, operational, and business data from multiple sources.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets to support research and operational objectives.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare data by resolving errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.
  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to support data-driven recommendations and decision-making.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that effectively communicate key findings.
  • Support the development, automation, and continuous improvement of data collection and reporting processes.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and business teams to understand reporting requirements and analytical needs.
  • Perform data validation activities to ensure the integrity, quality, and reliability of datasets.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and communicate data-related issues.
  • Document data sources, workflows, methodologies, and analytical processes to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to ongoing analytics initiatives that improve operational efficiency, product quality, and business performance.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Internship, co-op, academic project experience, or up to 2 years of experience in data analytics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of fundamental statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience creating data visualizations, reports, or dashboards.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence and visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and data management best practices.
  • Exposure to engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or metrology data environments.
  • Knowledge of data automation, reporting workflows, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working with operational or production-related datasets.
