Your new role
As a Data Scientist Intern, you will collaborate with the Customer Engagement team to assess complex datasets, develop predictive models, and effectively communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning, processing, and analysing large-scale datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Assisting in the design, training, and evaluation of machine learning models, including classification, regression, and clustering techniques.
• Creating and refining features to enhance model performance.
• Developing clear visualisations and dashboards to present findings to diverse audiences.
• Supporting end-to-end data science project workflows, from ideation through implementation and deployment.
• Staying updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices in data science and machine learning.
• Maintaining thorough and reproducible documentation of code, methodologies, and outcomes. Building interactive web applications for data visualization.

Your skills & qualifications
We’re looking for a Data Scientist Intern who will appreciate working in a high-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll bring with you:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and/or R, with practical experience using SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, experimental design, and common machine learning algorithms (e.g., linear/logistic regression, decision trees, k-means clustering).
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn) and integration across platforms is a must.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) or exposure to deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
