Develops and supports features for the Innovation Hub's Discovery Information Management System (DIMS), partnering with senior engineer and product stakeholders to implement Discovery Track workflows, UI experiences, and service integrations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job Duties
- Builds and ships full-stack product features using React/TypeScript and Python services/APIs.
- Participates in sprint planning, estimation, and execution; contributes to design discussions and technical implementation plans.
- Writes unit and integration tests; participates in code review; maintains high code quality and documentation standards.
- Supports release activities and production operations (monitoring, incident response support, bug fixes).
- Works within established architecture, security, and compliance patterns suitable for an academic medical environment.
- Uses AI-assisted development tools responsibly to increase throughput while preserving code quality and security.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience
2 years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with React + TypeScript and Python backend development.
Experience with cloud deployment concepts; familiarity with Azure services and CI/CD practices.
Preferred
- Experience
SaaS experience; familiarity with RBAC and audit logging patterns.
Experience with enterprise identity (SSO and federated identity) and secure API integration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organization, execution, and collaboration skills.
