Looking for challenging role? If you really want to make a difference - make it with us

Can we energize society and fight climate change at the same time?
At Siemens Energy, we can. Our technology is key, but our people make the difference. Brilliant minds innovate. They connect, create, and keep us on track towards changing the world’s energy systems. Their spirit fuels our mission.
Our culture is defined by caring, agile, respectful, and accountable individuals. We value excellence of any kind. Sounds like you?

As a Data Scientist in the Gas Turbine Service engineering community, you become part of a global network focused on transforming fleet experience into actionable insights. Your work enables our engineers to make smarter, faster decisions by providing data-driven clarity on component behavior, risks, and performance across our gas turbine fleet.
Every day, you help keep our customers’ units running safely and efficiently – turning raw data into value.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

Develop and maintain predictive analytics models – assessing component risk, reliability trends, and fleet performance indicators – and integrate them into in-house tools within our digital environment.
Analyze large datasets from turbine operations to derive actionable insights supporting engineering decisions, technical clarifications, and maintenance strategies.
Create intuitive dashboards and data visualizations to communicate risk levels, fall out rates, and performance anomalies to engineering partners.
Support technical investigations by combining domain knowledge with statistical models and machine learning techniques.
Feed validated analysis results into internal databases, tools and documentation workflows to ensure consistent communication of engineering instructions.
Collaborate closely with engineers across COMB, EGT, and service teams to translate operational questions into quantitative analyses.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with data analytics or technical projects.
Strong skills in R or Python and experience with data processing tools (R data.table, dplyr, pandas, SQL, or similar); experience with the                                                                 visualization framework R Shiny is beneficial.
Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling, or reliability analytics is a plus.
Familiarity with thermodynamics, combustion or gas turbine operation is advantageous but not required.
A solution driven mindset and ability to work in cross functional engineering teams.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

We’ve got quite a lot to offer. How about you?

This role is based in Gurugram. You’ll also get to visit other locations in India and beyond, so you’ll need to go where this journey takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come.

We’re Siemens. A collection of over 379,000 minds building the future, one day at a time in over 200 countries. We're dedicated to equality and we welcome applications that reflect the diversity of the communities we work in. All employment decisions at Siemens are based on qualifications, merit and business need. Bring your curiosity and imagination, and help us shape tomorrow.
