Job Description

You will develop, analyze and model operational, economic, management, accounting and other organizational data to measure the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and design new approaches and methodologies. Analyze organizational data to recommend solutions to new and complex problems, develop strategies, quantify the competitive performance of our operations and markets; model and evaluate the potential impact of changes.

You will report to a Senior Manager, Data Science.

You will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 50 miles of our office in Madison, WI 53783.

Position Compensation Range:

$88,000.00 - $145,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Use machine learning and predictive modeling across a variety of problem domains or programs, building predictive models to support partner goals and our needs.
  • Manipulate and investigate complex datasets and create data requirements and model specifications needed for development.
  • Work with partners and domain experts to identify critical questions.
  • Work with domain experts, develop problem definition, analytical approach, and research design for modeling projects.
  • Work with partners, both internal and external, to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Participate in the selection of research tools, design of a common research process, and brainstorming new opportunities and methodologies.
  • Research and maintain awareness of industry best practices and business strategies.
  • Bring in new ideas and approaches to develop business.

Requirements:

  • You will bring experience with Python, Cloud (GCP preferred) and LLM API's.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions or support.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in programming languages suitable for database access, scripting, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with version control for software development.
  • Demonstrated experience using large amounts of structured, semi structured, and unstructured data.
  • Experience formulating, approaching, analyzing and solving problems on massive datasets.
  • Solid knowledge managing data to scale using data summarization, query and analysis software and tools.
