We are currently seeking for enthusiastic and self - driven Data Scientist professional with exceptional analytical skills and experience in consulting or financial services to become part of our rapidly growing Financial Risk Management team in our offices in Athens.

Our Financial Risk Management (FRM) practice constitutes the fastest growing team in the local market with a proven track record of delivering large scale engagements across the industry during the recent past. Our practice forms part of Deloitte’s North South Europe (NSE) “One_FRM” initiative which brings together risk professionals from the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Nordics, Switzerland, Ireland and Greece into one single team thus representing an excellent opportunity to join forces and fulfil the core principle of Deloitte to act “as one” at European level with the aim to continue offering “state of the art” and value-adding propositions to our clients and solve “real world” problems faced by Financial Institutions in Greece and abroad.

Deloitte is a leading provider of Financial Risk Management Advisory services and thus offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and clients that are leaders in the industry.

Our projects vary and your responsibilities will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and needs. However, your role could include and may require you to:

· Develop and implement machine learning models for risk use cases such as:

o credit scoring and risk segmentation

o early warning systems

o anomaly and fraud detection

o stress testing and scenario analysis

· Design and deploy Generative AI solutions, including:

o automation of risk reporting and documentation

o intelligent data extraction and summarization

· Apply advanced statistical and quantitative techniques to large datasets

· Collaborate with risk and business teams to translate requirements into analytical models

· Support model deployment and industrialization (APIs, pipelines, cloud environments)

· Ensure alignment with model risk management (MRM) practices

· Prepare high-quality client deliverables and presentations

We are specifically seeking professionals who possess both technical and business skills, can clearly articulate the outcomes and value of their work, and can demonstrate the following:

· 2-5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services, exposure to risk management use cases (credit, market, liquidity) is highly desirable

· Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and quantitative modeling

· Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)

· Experience with Generative AI / LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning)

· Experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments

· Knowledge of data engineering concepts (SQL, ETL, pipelines)

· Knowledge of data visualisation tools and ability to create dashboards and reports

· Knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle, from prototyping state-of-the-art to scaling and managing for enterprise use

· Understanding of key considerations for Ethical and Responsible data and AI, and experience applying them

· Ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders

· Strong communication and presentation skills

· Ability to work in cross-functional teams
