Status: Full-Time Contract (1-Year)

Position Overview

Our client is building an enterprise AI Factory to reimagine Retail Banking through the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence. This initiative is focused on transforming customer experiences, employee productivity, banking operations, and service delivery through practical AI solutions.

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical modeling techniques to generate actionable insights and support the development of AI-powered solutions across Retail Banking. Working closely with the AI Architect and AI Engineers, you will help identify opportunities, validate use cases, measure outcomes, and develop models that improve customer experiences and business performance.

This role is ideal for individuals who combine strong analytical skills with practical business acumen and a passion for leveraging data and AI to solve complex challenges within a customer-centric financial services environment.

What You'll Do:

Retail Banking Analytics & Insights

• Analyze customer, operational, and business data to identify opportunities for Retail Banking transformation.
• Develop insights that improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
• Support data-driven decision-making across lending, deposits, payments, customer servicing, and relationship management.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-value AI and analytics use cases.

Data Science & Machine Learning

• Develop, test, and deploy predictive models that support business objectives.
• Apply machine learning techniques to customer behavior analysis, segmentation, forecasting, propensity modeling, and operational optimization.
• Build analytical models that improve decision-making across Retail Banking functions.
• Conduct experimentation and hypothesis testing to validate business opportunities and AI use cases.

AI Factory Enablement

• Support the identification and evaluation of AI opportunities across the organization.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to enhance AI-powered solutions through analytics, modeling, and measurement.
• Help establish best practices for data science, model development, and experimentation.
• Assist in assessing the effectiveness and business impact of AI solutions.

Customer Intelligence & Personalization

• Develop customer segmentation and behavioural analytics models.
• Support personalized customer experiences through responsible use of data and AI.
• Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within customer and operational datasets.
• Contribute to customer journey optimization initiatives across multiple channels.

AI Model Evaluation & Optimization

• Assess AI solution effectiveness through testing, measurement, and performance analysis.
• Support model evaluation frameworks for Generative AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Analyze AI outputs and recommend improvements to accuracy, relevance, and business value.
• Develop performance metrics and reporting to support AI adoption decisions.

Responsible AI & Governance

• Ensure data science and AI initiatives align with security, privacy, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Support model documentation, transparency, and explainability efforts.
• Participate in model validation and risk management activities.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of data and AI technologies.

Mandatories:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing predictive models and statistical analyses in production environments.
• Strong experience analyzing large and complex datasets.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to solve business problems using data and analytics.
• Experience presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
