Job Description

The Data Scientist performs analysis of multiple data sources using statistical analysis and computer science to solve business problems. Able to communicate analytical results generate improved business decisions and profitability. Uses data mining tools and programming languages to prepare data for analysis and business decision making. Delivers analytical and commercial solutions for internal and external customers. Combine business requirements and existing process and data knowledge to create analytical solutions.

This role r equires in-depth knowledge and experience needed tooperateindependently with limited guidance and oversight. Appliesa new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Makesdecisions within guidelines and policies thatimpacta range ofcustomer, operational, process, or project activities. Developswork plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead statistical analysis and build models for various and complex business problems.

• Lead the analytical design for complex problemsolution, taking input from others.

• Lead the development of projects with multiple statisticaldeliverablesleveragingbusiness and technicalexpertise

• Lead statistician on business or technical domain

• Contributes to code repository and improves the coding of others.

• Able to analyze and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate into analytical solutions.

• Evaluates the technical work of peer statistical analysts, guiding them on deliverable quality and accuracy.

• Communicatesresults to stakeholders and mid-level leadership, able to communicate businessimpactof work.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• MINIMUM: 4 yr degree in a STEM field with 2-3 years of highly relevant experience. Qualified candidates with onlya bachelorsare exceptional. Familiarity with statistics and machine learning concepts is essential​OR

• Master’s degree in a STEM field with1-2 yearsof work experienceOR

• PhD in a STEM fieldwith0-1 years ofwork experience

• PREFERRED: Master’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years+ of relevant experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

Must be proficient in at least  3 of the 6 tools:​ Spark, Python, R, SQL, Git Version Control, AWS/Azure/GCP
