What you will work on

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced modeling techniques, data processing on Databricks and practical application of data science to drive commercial success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions that directly impact business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models to address business challenges
• Utilize Databricks for data processing, model training, and deployment in a cloud environment.
• Create and manage data pipelines using Python and SQL to integrate, clean, and process large datasets efficiently.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and identify key trends impacting business performance.
• Design and implement predictive and prescriptive models to optimize commercial strategies.
• Automate model performance tracking and implement feedback loops to ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Product) to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Create clear and insightful data visualizations and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data science techniques, libraries, and frameworks to improve model accuracy and efficiency.

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist (with prior experience in a data role), focusing on commercial and business applications.
• Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models in Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
• Strong proficiency in Python and its libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with advanced modeling techniques, including:
• Predictive Modeling
• Clustering
• Time Series Forecasting
• Advanced Feature Engineering
• Experience with cloud-based data environments (preferably Azure).
• Proficiency with data analysis and ETL on Databricks.
• Experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and working with large, complex datasets.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, collaborative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
