We’re looking for a customer-obsessed data scientist to join our data team. You will be responsible for applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems, translating data into actionable insights, and driving data-informed decisions across the organization. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement models: design, build, test, and deploy machine learning models to solve business challenges 

• Exploratory data analysis: conduct in-depth statistical analysis and visualizations to discover patterns, trends, and hidden insights in the data 

• Collaborate with Data Architects to develop robust data pipelines and create impactful features for model improvement 

• Communicate complex results, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and data visualizations 

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and deploy models into production systems 

• Drive innovation: stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling, and propose new technologies or methods where appropriate. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related field 

• Master’s degree in quantitative fields (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent). 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Technical skills: Strong proficiency in SQL; expertise in Python and/or R; Solid understanding of core machine learning principles, algorithms, and model validation techniques; experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI 

• Statistical analysis: deep knowledge of statistical hypothesis testing, experimental design, and multivariate analysis 

• Develop and maintain advanced forecasting models for revenue, expenses, and profitability.

• Build driver-based financial planning models aligned with business KPIs.

• Automate forecasting processes using scalable data pipelines.

• Improve forecast accuracy through back-testing and model validation.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audience

Compensation & Benefits Details

• An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
• The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
• You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
