THE JOB:

The Data Business Analyst is a member of the Technology Data organization who provides strategic business analysis services to stakeholders across the organization. This role focuses on understanding business needs, identifying areas for improvement, and delivering data-driven solutions. The analyst acts as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment between business goals and technology solutions. The Data Business Analyst role also involves leading QA initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and product quality.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Conduct detailed business analysis to identify needs and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Create and present reports with actionable insights using data visualization tools.
  • Complete testing for data ingestion of new systems or process changes.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute QA projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and automation frameworks.
  • Conduct audits, defect analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align on quality goals.
  • Perform regression testing and data validations before releasing for UAT.
  • Generate and present quality metrics and reports to leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and innovation in QA practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Have 1+ Years of prior relevant experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data delivery, query writing, quality assurance or similar experience
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Have 2+ Years of prior relevant experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data delivery, query writing, quality assurance or similar experience - Preferred
