The Data Quality Analyst supports the collection, reporting and analysis of patient safety data in order to improve quality of care, patient safety, service and related healthcare outcomes. This position collaborates with stakeholders on the development of forms to capture customer feedback, as well as tools to collect and analyze surveillance data. The Data Quality Analyst monitors and evaluates data trends and make recommendations to improve patient safety practices and processes. This position will also assist in the planning, development and execution of integrated patient safety initiatives and projects across the Boone Health network.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with various stakeholders to develop and improve surveillance programs for patient safety, customer feedback and reporting platforms.

  • Partners with teams to develop processes, define indicators & measurements, determine data sources, data warehousing and data reporting for patient safety events.

  • Participates in requirements gathering, documentation, analysis, design and implementation of various system wide initiatives; assists in using SQL and other data querying, manipulation and presentation tools to collect, manage and present data needed to support business operations.

  • Assists in managing product and user support activities around vendor-based or internally developed systems; assists in production of presentations, spreadsheets and other documents; analyzes data to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Facilitates system-wide governance teams designed to guide the development, design and improvement of reporting tools and surveillance platforms.

  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2-5 Years’ Experience
