Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Data Product Owner to join our Information Technology (IT) team and help advance data and analytics capabilities across our Equipment, Technology, and Services (ET&S) business. This role will partner with leaders to influence priorities, build analytics capabilities, improve decision-making, accelerate value creation, and support continued data maturity.

As a trusted business partner, this role will clarify priorities and desired outcomes, shape capability roadmaps, and keep delivery focused on measurable business value. The role will also work closely with Data & Analytics and IT teams to translate business needs into requirements, delivery plans, adoption strategies, and sustainable solutions.

This position will be located in our Wichita, KS or Tulsa, OK office. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, opportunities, and desired business outcomes.
  • Translate business goals, opportunities, and pain points into clear requirements, user stories, decision needs, and actionable data product initiatives.
  • Proactively manage and prioritize data product work by balancing business impact, urgency, technical feasibility, data readiness, and team capacity and communicating trade-offs.
  • Work closely with solutions delivery leads, data engineers, developers, architects, analysts, product owners, and IT partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are practical, scalable, trusted, and aligned to real business decisions and workflows.
  • Own, maintain, and communicate data product roadmaps that align to ET&S priorities, stakeholder needs, and business value.
  • Support solution design, validation, testing, deployment, change management, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help advance ET&S data maturity by reinforcing accountability, transparency, and shared understanding of data products, supporting standards and best practices.
  • Model ownership, curiosity, humility, and continuous improvement in how work is prioritized and delivered.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, connecting people, processes, data, and technology to create lasting value


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in business analysis, data analytics, data management, product ownership, or related disciplines.
  • Experience gathering and translating business requirements into analytics, reporting, data product, or technology solutions.
  • Experience managing priorities, roadmaps, backlogs, or cross-functional delivery efforts.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Experience analyzing business problems, facilitating stakeholder discussions, evaluating solution options, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Experience communicating business requirements, insights, recommendations, and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written, verbal, and presentation-based formats.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience owning or managing a data product roadmap.
  • Experience working within data governance, master data management (MDM), data quality, or enterprise data programs.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics and visualization platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Snowflake, or other modern analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile product delivery, backlog management, prioritization frameworks, and value tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, facilitate decisions, and drive cross-functional change.
  • Proven ability to connect analytical work and data products to measurable business value and economic outcomes.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence AI tools to analyze data, identify insights, streamline workflows, or improve business outcomes.
