Join us at Barclays as a Data Product Business Analyst were you’ll play a key role in shaping data-driven solutions by working closely with business stakeholders, data modellers, and engineering teams. Your focus will be on understanding how data is used operationally and ensuring it is translated, curated, and delivered effectively into modern data platforms.
Key skills:
Data-Centric Requirements Engineering
Proven experience shaping data requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria, working closely with data modellers and capturing outputs clearly in tools such as Jira
Business-to-Data Translation
Strong ability to engage stakeholders, understand operational data usage, and translate business needs into data use cases supporting modern data product development
Data Governance & Quality Practices
Exposure to data governance frameworks, data quality controls, and working in regulatory or risk-aware environments to ensure data is fit for purpose
Desirable skills:
Data Modelling & Data Product Concepts
Familiarity with conceptual and logical data models, and experience with data product or domain-oriented data patterns
Agile Delivery & Backlog Management
Hands-on experience working in Agile teams, managing backlogs in Jira, and collaborating through iterative delivery cycles
Data Migration & Cloud Delivery Awareness
Solid understanding of data migration concepts including data quality, lineage, transformation, and validation, alongside awareness of cloud-based data delivery
This role is based in Knutsford or Northampton
