About Entain

There's nothing like a career at Entain. We're a leading, global sports betting and gaming company and we're upping the excitement and increasing player safety. We're a FTSE company with iconic brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, BetMGM, Eurobet and bwin, and we have an energy that drives us to perform at the height of our potential. Whether you're an engineer, marketer or retail specialist, a career here is a complete game changer.

Job Description

This is a 6-month fixed-term, hybrid role, based at our London Stratford office.

As a Data Privacy Specialist, you'll help deliver operational privacy activities across Entain, with a particular focus on implementing data retention policies and schedules. You'll work with technology and business teams to understand how data is held, support data migration and minimisation activities, and translate technical privacy requirements into clear, practical actions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Privacy Operations, you'll join a collaborative team of privacy specialists working across a complex, international organisation. You'll engage with stakeholders including IT, end-user services, system owners, data governance teams and colleagues responsible for platforms such as Oracle.

This is an opportunity to broaden your experience within a global, regulated business and contribute to a varied portfolio of privacy work. Alongside data retention, you may support data subject rights requests, privacy risk assessments, supplier reviews, data mapping and wider advisory activity.

Ready to turn privacy requirements into effective, practical solutions across a global organisation?

You Will:

  • Support the implementation of Entain's Group Data Retention Policy and retention schedules, working with business and technology teams on data minimisation, system changes and migration activity.
  • Provide practical privacy advice to stakeholders, translating complex legal and technical requirements into clear operational actions.
  • Support operational privacy workstreams, including data subject rights requests, data mapping, Records of Processing Activities and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Assess privacy risks relating to projects, suppliers, systems and personal data incidents, escalating significant or complex matters when appropriate.
  • Support privacy awareness activity, reporting, assurance reviews and the continued improvement of privacy processes and controls.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • At least two years' practical experience in data privacy operations, data governance or a closely related area.
  • Hands-on experience of data retention, privacy operations or delivering privacy-related projects.
  • Working knowledge of UK data protection requirements, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Experience working with technical stakeholders and the ability to translate technical information into practical, risk-based guidance.
  • Experience across relevant privacy activities such as data subject rights requests, data mapping, RoPA maintenance, DPIAs, vendor assessments or personal data breach management.
  • The ability to manage several workstreams and changing priorities while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • A relevant privacy qualification, such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT, or experience within a regulated organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.

Entain

About Entain

Welcome to Entain.

Our journey as Entain began when we evolved from GVC Holdings on 9th December 2020, but our brands have been paving the way and making history since the 1880s.

Today, we’re one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming entertainment groups – a FTSE 100 company that is home to more than 25 widely recognised brands, such as bwin, Coral, Foxy, Gala, Ladbrokes and partypoker.

But that’s just the beginning. We’re constantly broadening our horizons and expanding our global influence. For example, our partnership with MGM Resorts International has allowed us to make waves in the US by powering BetMGM with our bespoke and top-of-the-line technology.

It’s with this unique technology that we’re revolutionising our industry, and we’re boldly working towards being THE world leader in sports betting and gaming. Really though, it’s the people that truly make us who we are. There’s over 30,000 of us around the world and counting, but we all play for the same team.

We’re proud to promote a culture that shatters barriers to unite, and encourages uncompromised diversity of background, thought and experience. When we win, we win together.

If you share our values and want to be part of the revolution, we want you on our team. With offices across 19 different countries, we have an excellent history of identifying and nurturing the finest talent on a global scale. We’re all about putting our customers at the heart of the action and, with us, you can help bring moments of excitement into people’s lives.

At Entain, it’s your game. We’re ready to play – are you?
