Syngenta's operating environment is changing rapidly. Artificial Intelligence – including AI systems, AI agents and a fast-growing portfolio of AI use cases – is now being adopted at scale across the organisation. Because this AI functionality is powered by large volumes of data, including personal data, the intersection of AI governance and data protection has become one of the most critical and dynamic areas of our compliance agenda.
In your role as a Data Privacy & AI Compliance Support Consultant, you will be part of a small, collaborative team of privacy and AI professionals supporting Syngenta Group. You will help our internal clients navigate both established data privacy obligations and emerging AI compliance requirements, working extensively with the OneTrust platform & a planned new AI governance platform. You will play a significant role in helping Syngenta ensure responsible, compliant adoption of AI while protecting personal information.
At Syngenta we are highly people focused – we look for professionals who are engaged, collaborative and excellent in execution. Leaders are expected to communicate effectively, develop teams and lead by example. Our industry and our function are changing rapidly – particularly with the rise of AI – so we are looking for new team members with a strong desire to develop themselves and to grow at the frontier of privacy and AI compliance.
A great fit is an individual who:
Prior knowledge of GDPR, familiarity with OneTrust or equivalent data protection management systems, awareness of emerging AI regulation (such as the EU AI Act) is essential; possession of qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or AIGP are advantageous but not essential prerequisites for this role. We are primarily seeking individuals who are keen to expand their proficiency across data privacy and AI compliance, and who are eager to play an active role in advancing our responsible-AI and data protection efforts.
Syngenta is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion or any other employment practices for reasons of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital or veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.
