  • Our Commercial and PMO team develops subject matterexpertisein Quantity Surveying and Programme Management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and cost effectively.
  • AsDataand PMOCo- Ordinatoryou’llbe exposed to a fast paced, dynamic retail environment, exploring the different areas of Property.You’llget the opportunity to visit sites across our estate and gain insight into the importance of Property as a key function to deliver for our customers and colleagues.You’lltruly understandthe lifecycle of Property projects
  • Youwillplay a key role within the department, withresponsibility for managingdata andprovidingvital insights, andmanaging various programmes of activity withinconstruction workstreams,which may include new stores,remodelprogrammes,categoryrolloutsand operational efficiency projects to support Asda’s strategic growth targets.
  • You will collaborate and build strong day to day relationships with multiple stakeholders including Property, Finance, Construction Managers, Contractors, Consultants, and other Project Managers / PMO’s to ensure projects are delivered on time and as per the agreed scope. You willbe requiredtofacilitaterelevant internal Governance meetings, ensuring best practice is followed and compliance adopted.

You willbe responsible for

  • Data Managementand Storage Collect and centralise data from fragmented sources, andco-ordinate the facilitation of our internal document storage systems.

  • DataReporting & Visualisation: Design automated dashboards to provide "one version of the truth" for stakeholders, from site managers to executives.Undertake cross-functional analysis of project and programme data looking at trendstoinform business planning.

  • ProgrammeReporting:Ensure programme reports aremaintained, consistently reviewed, and updated to supplyaccurateupdates to the Property & Construction Leadership.

  • Risk Management:Actively manage and where necessary escalate risks, issues, and other dependencies, constructing suitable action plans to rectify and deliver the project (RAID).

  • Communication:Acting as a liaison between project teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to share information, updates, and requests.

  • Documentation & Record-Keeping:Maintainingproject documents, process maps, and official records, and ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.

  • Resource Management:Helping to manage resource requirements for each programme, highlighting constraints whenalternativedecisions arerequired

  • Tool & System Administration:Setting up and managing project management tools and maintainingsystems

  • Process ImprovementHelp toidentifyopportunities to driveefficiency and improve overall performanceacross workstreams.

  • Governance and Standards:Facilitateproperty governance forums ensuring best practice is followed, to support effective andtimelydecision-making, riskmanagementand action completion across the lifecycle of projects.

  • You will have strong technicalproficiencyAdvanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query,Power apps, PowerAutomate)andPower BI

  • You will have excellent communicationskills with the ability to translate data into clear, non-technical insights for project stakeholders.

  • Ideallyyou will have project / programme managementexperience,ideallyin aconstruction,retail or similar fast-paced environment, and a good understanding of managing moving deadlines, multipleprojects, and critical paths.

  • You will be a natural problem solver, with an inquisitive nature anddrive to find answers and solutions.

  • An understanding ofPMO methodologies, especially waterfall, is preferential

  • You will have delivered or supported change in a cross functional environment, by inspiring and influencinga wide network,buildingstrong relations and networks with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will have theability to persevere withsignificant changeand challenges, finding creative ways to overcome barriers, and bounce back from setbacks.

  • Havepreviousexperience of managing data and creating reporting templates. Utilising data toidentifyrisks and opportunities and to developnew ideasand concepts. 

  • You areinnovative and are always looking for a way to continuously improve procedures to make them simpler, easier, and quicker for the team and end users.
