As part of Bureau Veritas's Data & AI transformation journey to modernize operations and strengthen quality assurance and compliance, we are recruiting for our Bureau Veritas DxT Foundations team a Data Platform - Technical Lead (F-M-D) on a permanent (CDI) contract.

Reporting to the Architecture Manager, you will join a team of experts based in our Head Quarters - Paris.

You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of building and operating a modern enterprise Data & AI Platform on AWS and Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio to enable AI adoption and AI-driven automation.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Your mission is to ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence, while enabling application, analytics, and AI teams to efficiently publish, discover, govern, and consume data assets, ensuring acceleration of AI adoption across Bureau Veritas. Your role is essential to enable trusted and governed data at enterprise scale.

You will:

• Ensure the availability, performance, security, and stability of the Data Platform through proactive operations, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of reliability and cost efficiency
• Define and drive the technical roadmap by assessing and implementing new AWS Data & AI capabilities, leading platform upgrades and migrations, and automating processes through Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
• Support application teams in onboarding and publishing data products while assisting analytics, BI, and AI teams in accessing data assets through secure sharing patterns, self-service capabilities, and technical guidance
• Implement and maintain platform services enabling governance and data quality, including metadata management, catalog services, quality monitoring, lineage tracking, access controls, and tooling support for Data Owners and Stewards
• Produce operational and adoption dashboards, monitor platform usage and consumption trends, track service utilization and cloud costs, and identify opportunities to increase platform adoption and value across Bureau Veritas

THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

Strong experience designing and operating enterprise-scale AWS Data Platforms (including Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lake Formation, SageMaker Unified Studio) — Enables you to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Data & AI transformation infrastructure while leveraging cutting-edge AWS capabilities to drive platform innovation.

Expertise in data pipeline orchestration and cloud-native data architectures — Allows you to build and maintain robust data ingestion and transformation workflows that deliver trusted data assets at scale and implement secure data sharing patterns.

Strong SQL and Python skills — Provides you with the technical foundation to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and support teams in their data consumption needs.

Good understanding of data governance and data quality technologies — Helps you implement and support platform services enabling metadata management, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring for enterprise-wide governance.

Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform) and CI/CD practices — Enables you to automate deployment processes, ensure operational excellence, and accelerate platform evolution through DevOps methodologies.

Ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams — Ensures successful coordination of platform upgrades, migrations, and enablement activities with application, analytics, and AI stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in global environments — Helps you deliver technical guidance, training, and support while building adoption and satisfaction across diverse international user communities.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

You have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Data Platform or Cloud Platform Engineering role, or minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with strong AWS experience within large international organizations and a proven track record operating enterprise data platforms supporting Analytics and AI workloads.

WHAT WE OFFER

Salary: €68,000 - €70,000 according to your profile.
