This role is ideal for someone who combines strong hands-on engineering skills with a collaborative mindset and enjoys sharing knowledge and expertise with others.

This project-based role is immediately available as full-time assignment (38,5 h / week) to our customer, Siemens Smart Infrastructure. The location can be anywhere in Austria.

What you do

  • Design, build and improve cloud-native production infrastructure for data-processing workloads in AWS
  • Build operational tooling and scripts that reduce manual support effort, improve repeatability, and increase reliability across environments
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines for platform services, data-processing components, and supporting automation
  • Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices
  • Support engineering teams with platform services, tooling and best practices
  • Improve observability, reliability, security and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with software, data and cloud engineers across different projects

What you bring

  • Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or related fields
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, EMR, Athena, Glue, or similar technologies in AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK or similar)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, automation and modern software delivery practices
  • Some knowledge of data engineering technologies such as SQL, Apache Spark, PySpark, Snowflake, Athena, Glue, or other data catalog and metadata tooling. SQL knowledge is a must-have.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript
  • A self-driven mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting and enabling other engineers
  • Full professional fluency in English

The monthly gross salary for this role is at least EUR 4.500,00 and will in any case exceed the collective agreement minimum salary.

Depending on your education and experience, an overpayment is possible. We will determine your final salary during a personal conversation.
