Data Platform Engineer

Enterprise Analytics Team

Are you passionate about building scalable data solutions that drive business decisions? United Federal Credit Union is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to help develop and maintain our enterprise data platform, transforming raw data into actionable insights that empower teams across the organization. You'll work with modern technologies, solve complex business challenges, and play a key role in supporting analytics, reporting, and emerging AI initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will:

  • Design, build, automate, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and performance metrics.
  • Develop analytical tools and curated datasets that provide actionable business insights.
  • Optimize and improve data infrastructure for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Monitor and enhance data quality through technical controls and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to troubleshoot data challenges and support analytics needs.
  • Research and implement new technologies that strengthen our data ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of professional information systems, data engineering, analytics, or related experience.
  • 2+ years of advanced SQL programming, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Snowflake.
  • Experience developing and managing cloud-based data warehouse solutions.
  • Proficiency with technologies such as SQL, Python, and data integration tools.
  • Financial services or banking industry experience.
  • Experience building scalable data architectures and performance-focused solutions.
