Responsible for the development and execution of architectures, policies, practices and procedures in order to manage the information lifecycle needs of an organization in an effective manner and examining organization's data with the purpose of drawing conclusions about that information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Gathers and analyzes data requirements and data flows to other systems.
  • Transforming database requirements into logical data models.
  • Developing physical data models to define the database structure.
  • Optimizing database performance through efficient indexing and table relationships.
  • Spotting trends; writing reports and recommendations for internal or external clients; data modeling
  • Creating data architectures; developing and enhancing the data warehouse; back-end transaction/data processing; and market research professional services.
  • Creating data architectures and logical/physical data models for databases and data warehouses.
  • Designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a data warehouse to integrate data from various sources/systems within an organization.
  • Developing strategies for data acquisition, archive recovery, and database implementation. Managing data migrations/conversions and troubleshooting data processing issues.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Managing projects / processes
  • Working independently with limited supervision.
  • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information systems
  • Advanced education preferred
  • 3 years data modeling experience across multiple RDBS
  • 3 years experience modeling data lineage and translations between systems with different data schemas
  • Experience with AWS Database technologies like Postgres, Redshift or Athena
  • Experience with physical / logical data modeling software like Idera Team Studio
