Job Description

Our client a IT Services company is looking to hire a Data Migration Specialist. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute data migration plans, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

  • Perform data mapping and transformation to ensure data integrity and accuracy during migration.

  • Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure successful data migration.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues promptly.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

  • Perform programming, testing and application deployment.

  • Document data migration processes and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Requirements 

  • Degree or above in computer science or equivalent.

  • At least three (3) years of IT experience including at least two (2) years of experience in one or more IT implementation project(s);

  • At least two (2) years of IT experience that covers one or more of the following areas:

  1. ensuring conformance of software package with requirements.

  2. cording according to program specifications using the proposed software.

  3. conducting program testing and suite trials.

  4. preparation of job control procedures for both trial and production runs.

  • Experience in Java, OpenJDK, Spring framework, GIT.

  • Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and data mapping.

  • Experience in data migration project preferred.

  • Familiarity with different database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.

  • Good communication skill in both spoken and written English and Chinese
