Data Migration Expert

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Data Migration Expert will support the SAP transformation program by preparing, validating, reconciling, and improving data for migration from legacy systems to the target environment.

The role requires strong hands-on SQL capability and experience in data migration, data quality, and business validation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong hands-on SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, reconciliation, and exception analysis.
• Proven experience in SAP / ERP data migration projects.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping and migration templates.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate data issues clearly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in global or multi-country projects is preferred.
• Minimum 3 days per week on-site at the office.
• Availability for occasional international travel may be required.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze and extract data from legacy systems using SQL.
• Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
• Support source-to-target mapping and migration template preparation.
• Identify and track data quality issues such as duplicates, missing values, invalid formats, and inconsistencies.
• Support data cleansing, enrichment, and remediation with business and technical teams.
• Prepare actionable issue lists and support business validation and sign-off.
• Validate data across migration cycles, including SIT, UAT, mock migration, and cutover.
• Track migration readiness, open issues, and reconciliation results.
• Work closely with SAP teams, Data Analysts, business stakeholders, and source-system teams.
