Job Description

Key purpose:

As a Data Migration Consultant, you'll work with various departments to manage the migration of data from legacy systems. You'll be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of effective solutions that allow businesses to maintain their business processes while making best use of our technology platform.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Data Mapping and Migration of the Closing Balances in the legacy ERP to be taken on as the Opening Balances in the CCBA D365 F&O ERP
  • Experience in Accounts Payable as well as Accounts Receivable
  • Journals experience
  • Understanding SSIS packages as well as the D365 DMF (Data Migration Framework) with Batch handling
  • Manage, facilitate, and drive the extraction criteria, data cleansing, object mapping, field mapping and value mapping for the ETL process
  • Manage, facilitate, and drive the filling in of the templates by the Business for the Construct process
  • Facilitate Issue resolution where there are load errors (Defects logged in DevOps)
  • Status reporting per functional area as and when needed
  • Engage with business resources per stream to resolve data queries

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field required
  • 8 years of experience as an accounting manager/accountant in the financial sector required
  • Experience with RTR reporting systems
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position with financial and/or business accounting experience
