Data Migration Analyst

POSITION PURPOSE:

    • You will play a key role in post‑go‑live activities, hyper care and ongoing system maintenance within SAP S/4HANA.
    • Your focus is on Material Master and Quality‑relevant data (SAP MM & SAP QM), ensuring stability, governance and continuous improvement in a fast‑moving global environment.
    • This role gives you real ownership, exposure to international stakeholders and the chance to influence how data is handled across Bayer for years to come

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute and coordinate post‑go‑live data changes and maintenance activities in SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on Material Master and Quality‑related master data
    • Design, analyze and perform mass data updates, selecting the appropriate approach between automation and manual maintenance
    • Support hyper care activities after go‑live, ensuring data stability and rapid issue resolution
    • Collaborate closely with business units, value streams and technical teams to understand requirements and downstream process impacts
    • Apply and safeguard data governance, data quality standards and compliance requirements
    • Identify risks early and actively contribute to risk mitigation, stabilization and continuous improvement
    • Act as a trusted partner for stakeholders in a highly visible, transformation‑critical role

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Overall 5+ years of experience working with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, with an understanding of differences in master data handling and system behavior.
  • Familiarity with mass update, data migration tools/methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Material Master across relevant views (Basic Data, Plant, Purchasing, Quality, etc.).
  • Hands on knowledge of SAP Quality Management (QM), including quality‑related master data and its impact on inspections and production processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC and S4HANA
  • Strong expertise in designing and executing mass data updates in SAP using standard (LTMC) or custom (LTMOM) tools
  • Ability to analyze update requirements and decide when automation or mass updates are appropriate versus manual maintenance
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently take over and drive tasks through to completion.
  • Proactive and clear communicator, able to effectively coordinate and align with internal stakeholders as well as external partners to resolve tasks and issues.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to team goals while being open to feedback and diverse perspectives.
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo constructively and suggest improvements to processes, ways of working or solutions.
  • High willingness to learn and continuously expand knowledge into new topics, systems and domains.
  • Ability to stay calm, focused and structured in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment with multiple parallel tasks and challenges.
