We are looking for a Data Manager to drive our Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives and elevate how we engage with our customers in Nordea Pension.

About our team

As our new Data Manager, you will be part of the Communication & Customer Engagement team. A team of five colleagues leading and driving our internal and external communication channels including digital marketing, customer events and customer communication. Together, you shape personalized, timely, and relevant communication that increase engagement and drive high customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will be bridging business needs with data and technology, ensuring that Salesforce Marketing Cloud is leveraged to its full potential across customer journeys. What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for architecting and executing the backbone of our automated marketing efforts. You will be designing and managing data-driven, automated journeys to ensure the right messages reach the right members at the right time.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Own and drive the use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement to support customer-centric communication
  • Ensure data quality / audience management and segmentation strategy
  • Configure and operate Salesforce Marketing Cloud (e.g. Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder)
  • Build and maintain automated customer journeys, including triggers, segmentation, and personalization logic
  • Define and manage data models, data extensions, and audience structures within Marketing Cloud
  • Work with data integrations between Marketing Cloud and source systems (e.g. data warehouse)
  • Ensure data quality by auditing entry points and preference center logic to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA) and brand standards.
  • Set up tracking, reporting, and dashboards to monitor campaign performance and derive insights to continuously improve engagement
  • Troubleshoot issues in campaigns, automations, and data flows
  • Contribute to improving ways of working, documentation, and governance in Marketing Cloud
  • Collaborate with marketing, commercial stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver impactful initiatives
  • Strategic anchoring of Salesforce Marketing Cloud; Act as internal subject matter expert, presenting SFMC capabilities to various departments.
  • Define development needs for backlog prioritization

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you are an experienced specialist with a commercial mindset combined with hands-on execution capabilities. You should be driven, proactive, structured and bring a positive attitude.

Your background and skills include:

  • 7+ years of experience as Senior Business Analyst, Data Manager, or similar role
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud including:
  • Journey Builder
  • Automation Studio
  • Contact Builder / data model setup
  • Solid experience in working with SQL (advanced), AMP script (basic) and HTML (basic)
  • Solid understanding of data-driven marketing and customer journey orchestration
  • Experience with data integrations (e.g. working with data warehouses)
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical and analytical requirements
  • Ability to work across many different functions at all organisational levels
  • Analytical mindset with focus on measurable outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to structure work and prioritize effectively
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement an advantage (e.g. e-mail specialist certificate or administrator certificate)
  • Experience working in the financial services sector (bank, pension or insurance), - where interaction with large numbers of customers is central to daily operation - is an advantage.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. bank, pension or insurance) is a plus
