Job Description

Data Manager

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Manager.
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution, etc.).
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.).
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Management, or a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data governance and data quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Create and enforce policies for effective data management to ensure the integrity and security of data.
  • Data Collection: Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
  • System Implementation: Design and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis, with attention to all technical aspects.
  • Data Sharing: Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • User Support: Support team members in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (e.g., new technologies, upgrades).
  • Security Assurance: Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.
