The Continuing Care Capital Planning and Data Strategy Unit within the Continuing Care Capital Branch is responsible for the planning and prioritization of new and modernized continuing care infrastructure, as well as oversight of government owned continuing care home capital assets. This work is guided by the province's continuing care transformation strategy and supports targeted capital grant funding streams under the Continuing Care Capital Program (CCCP). As the Data Management Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data strategy that supports evidence‑based continuing care capital planning. You will ensure that accurate, timely, and integrated data is available to inform decisions on grant funding, investment priorities and management of government owned continuing care infrastructure.
In this role, you will lead the design and maintenance of data systems and processes to collect, transform, and store data from multiple internal and external sources. You will conduct statistical analyses, forecasting, and scenario modeling to influence ministry programs. You will also apply innovative approaches such as predictive analytics and simulation techniques to strengthen long‑term planning.
To be successful in this role, you will collaborate with cross‑ministry partners, the provincial health agency and sector stakeholders to align data solutions, support integration initiatives, and strengthen information sharing. You will represent the division on committees and working groups, provide expert advice, and may oversee consultants to ensure deliverables align with ministry objectives.

As the Data Management Specialist, in addition to your education and experience, you will demonstrate well-honed competencies in the following areas:
Minimum Requirements:
University graduation in a related field (economics, statistics, public health, computer science, information management, engineering or related) plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.
