Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Data Management organization to support the delivery and adoption of CIB Data Services, including Data Registration, Data Movement Controls, and Data Distribution. The role will contribute to data governance, product and project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement activities that support a simplified, well-controlled, and reusable data environment. This is an individual contributor position requiring independent execution, sound judgment, and effective collaboration across business and technology teams. This is a hybrid role with some in-office expectations.

The ideal candidate will partner with stakeholders across business, technology, data, change management, controls, and risk functions to translate needs into practical data solutions. The candidate should bring strong analytical, collaboration, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to manage assigned deliverables from requirements through implementation. Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science concepts—and an interest in applying these capabilities responsibly to data management use cases—is important. Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and financial services data environments is preferred.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the development, delivery, and adoption of CIB Data Services, including Data Registration, Data Movement Controls, and Data Distribution.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, data, control, risk, and change partners to gather requirements, clarify priorities, resolve issues, and deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Contribute to data service and data product roadmaps by documenting requirements, user stories, process flows, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
  • Perform analysis and coordinate assigned data sourcing, registration, onboarding, and remediation activities in alignment with data strategy, policy, standards, and approved sources.
  • Maintain a comprehensive catalog of CIB Datasets, identifying the system of record and authorized data sources to ensure consistency, traceability, and strategic alignment.
  • Maintain accurate dataset, metadata, ownership, lineage, system-of-record, authorized-source, and usage information to support transparency, traceability, and reuse.
  • Apply project management disciplines to assigned initiatives, including work planning, milestone and dependency tracking, meeting facilitation, risk and issue management, status reporting, and follow-through on actions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear presentations, dashboards, process documentation, management updates, and decision materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyze data, process, and control information to identify gaps, trends, root causes, and opportunities to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and user experience.
  • Support testing, user acceptance, training, procedure development, change readiness, and stakeholder communications for new or enhanced data capabilities.
  • Explore and support responsible use of AI, automation, and data science techniques—for example, metadata enrichment, data classification, data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and workflow improvement—while following applicable governance and control requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Working knowledge of data management concepts such as data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, data sourcing, or data controls.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, capital markets, investment banking, securities operations, risk, finance, or a comparable regulated environment.
