The Data Item Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, governing, and continuously improving item master data within the organization's ERP and related systems. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality of item data across multiple business units and supports procurement, fleet, marine, offshore, dredging, and project operations.

In addition to traditional master data management activities, the position plays a key role in driving digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled process improvements. The coordinator will support the development of data standards, naming conventions, intelligent search capabilities, data enrichment initiatives, and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and data quality.

The role acts as a central point of contact for item data governance, ERP master data support, reporting, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives.

KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Item Master Data Management

  • Create, maintain, update, and manage item master data within ERP systems.
  • Ensure item records are complete, accurate, standardized, and compliant with company data governance requirements.
  • Validate item requests and verify technical information before creation or modification.
  • Maintain item classification structures, naming conventions, and coding standards.
  • Monitor and improve overall item data quality.
  • Identify and eliminate duplicate, obsolete, and inconsistent item records.

AI, Automation & Digital Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to improve item data processes through AI and automation technologies.
  • Utilize AI tools to assist with data cleansing, classification, enrichment, validation, and reporting activities.
  • Develop and implement AI-assisted workflows for item creation and maintenance.
  • Leverage AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, and similar tools to improve productivity and data quality.
  • Participate in RPA and digital transformation projects related to procurement and master data management.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions for process optimization.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

Education / Certificates

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  2. Relevant certifications in Data Management, ERP Systems, Business Analysis, AI Applications, or Process Improvement are considered advantageous.

Experience

  1. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Item Data Management, Master Data Management, Procurement Support, ERP Administration, or related functions.
  2. Experience working with ERP systems such as Infor LN, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
  3. Experience with data governance, data quality management, and data validation processes.
  4. Experience supporting ERP users and business stakeholders.
  5. Experience in maritime, dredging, offshore, logistics, engineering, or project environments is preferred.
  6. Experience with AI tools and automation technologies is highly desirable.
  7. Experience with data migration and system implementation projects is an advantage.
  8. Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system knowledge.
