Job Description

At Travvia, we craft meaningful journeys and ensure every connection is
part of a seamless, high-impact travel experience. Behind every great itinerary
and every happy traveller is a mountain of data waiting to be turned into a
roadmap.

We are looking for a Data and Insights Manager to be the architect of
our data insights capability. This role is about building the systems that
allow our leaders to make faster, bolder, and more confident decisions across
our entire Trans-Tasman network. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the
vital bridge between technical engineering and commercial reality, turning raw
numbers into the compelling stories that drive our strategic success.

Your Impact on the Journey

Building the Centre of Expertise

You will lead the development of our data strategy and governance,
establishing the frameworks that ensure our insights are high-quality,
reliable, and accessible. By integrating new sources and building robust
pipelines, you will create the data foundation that supports our continued
growth and ensures our leaders have ready-to-use information at their
fingertips.

The Commercial Translator

You represent the intersection of technical excellence and business
strategy. You manage our external data engineering partners and links to our
platform vendors, including RCM, Esker, and AskNicely, to ensure our
infrastructure supports our commercial goals. You specialise in taking complex
datasets and presenting them with the clarity needed to make the right path
forward obvious for every stakeholder.

Master of Visualisation

As our PowerBI champion, you create clarity through sophisticated
design. You will develop intuitive tools that empower stakeholders to engage
with data. Through advanced DAX modelling and performance optimisation, you
ensure our datasets provide a compelling and accurate narrative for the
executive team.

Future-Proofer

You maintain a focus on the horizon. By exploring AI capabilities and
process automation, you ensure Travvia remains at the forefront of the
industry. You progressively expand our analytics capabilities as technologies
mature, keeping our operations agile and efficient.

Who You Are

You are a hands-on senior data professional who is tired of being tucked
away in a back office. You want to be where the action is. You bring:

Strategic Grit: You understand that data is a tool for ROI, and you know how to use
it to move the needle on business performance.
Technical Sophistication: You are a PowerBI expert who is equally comfortable
navigating Google BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric. You are an early adopter
    of AI.
Influential Presence: You can guide senior leaders through complex insights and
champion a data-first mindset across diverse departments.
Integrity: You lead with privacy-by-design, ensuring our warehousing solutions
respect Australian and New Zealand privacy principles.

Join the Travvia Team

Based at our Auckland HQ, you will join a professional, fast-paced team
that values expertise and clear-headed strategy. This is your chance to own the
data roadmap for a leading Trans-Tasman travel group and see the direct impact
of your expertise every single day.
